洋基想續留教頭吉拉迪

洋基今年雖未打進季後賽，球團表達想要續留教頭吉拉迪 (Joe Girardi)，總經理凱許曼 (Brian Cashman)明白表示，「他知道我們要他留下來，繼續跟著我們向前走。」

「我們聘請了一位好的總教練，他在球員時期是我們的冠軍成員，之後出任教練與球評，更成為世界大賽冠軍教頭，擁有他，讓我們擁有優勢，我們希望他能繼續留下來。」

吉拉迪帶領洋基六年期間，共獲得564勝408敗，並且在2009年贏得世界大賽冠軍。

只是今年洋基僅獲得85勝77敗，在分區並列第三，是從1992年以來的最差戰績，也是近19年來第二度未能打進季後賽。

在球季結束的隔天，凱許曼就找吉拉迪喝咖啡留人，明天再約吉拉迪的經紀人吃中飯。

小熊也想要網羅在伊利諾出生的吉拉迪出任新教頭，但他與洋基合約到十月才屆滿，洋基現在是全力留人。
